Automatic Product Availability

The daily menu, breakfast or weekend brunch appear and disappear on their own, at their time. You set the schedule once in the Admin, and it applies everywhere, Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food included.

Every product in APPY, combos included, can have its own availability schedule: the days and hours when it can be ordered, for example Monday–Friday 11:00–16:00, or Saturday 12:00–14:00 and 18:00–21:30. Outside its hours, the product is either hidden or shown greyed out with its hours, and it cannot be ordered online. The schedule applies on its own in the online store and the app, on the kiosk, in the QR menu, in the POS and on Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food.

What is automatic product availability?

It means every product has its own schedule: the days and hours when it can be ordered. You set it once in the Admin, and the product appears and disappears on its own, at the right time, in the online store, on the kiosk, in the QR menu, in the POS and on Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food. No more switching products on and off by hand every day.

  • Days and hours on each product, with several time slots per day
  • Outside its hours, the product is hidden or shown greyed out, with its hours
  • The same schedule in the store, on the kiosk, in the QR menu, in the POS and on the delivery platforms
  • On Glovo, APPY switches the product on and off by itself, every minute

Times are the restaurant's local time. A product with no schedule is always available.

Schedule examples

Five situations restaurants run into all the time, and the schedule that handles each one. You set them once in the Admin; from then on, the products switch on and off by themselves.

A different daily menu every day

  • Five products, "Daily menu Monday", "Daily menu Tuesday" and so on, one for each day from Monday to Friday, 11:00–16:00
  • Hidden outside their hours

In the online store, between 11:00 and 16:00, customers see only today's menu. On Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food, only today's can be ordered.

Breakfast in the morning

  • Daily, 07:00–11:00
  • Hidden outside its hours

After 11, breakfast no longer shows in the store, on the kiosk or in the POS, and at 7 the next morning it comes back on its own, without anyone switching it on.

Weekend brunch

  • Saturday and Sunday, 10:00–14:00
  • Hidden outside its hours

Brunch appears only on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00 to 14:00, and is not on the menu for the rest of the week.

Lunch offer

  • Monday–Friday, 12:00–15:00
  • Shown greyed out outside its hours, with its hours

In the evening and at weekends, the offer stays visible in the online store, greyed out with its hours, so customers know when to come back. Online, it can be ordered only within its hours.

Grill in the evening only

  • On the "Grill" category: every day, 18:00–23:00
  • With "Hide the category outside its schedule"

Until 18:00, the "Grill" category and its products do not show in the online store or in the POS. In the evening they appear on their own, without touching each product.

Challenges

  • Every morning, someone switches off yesterday's daily menu and switches on today's, in the store and on every delivery platform.
  • Breakfast stays on after 11, and the kitchen gets orders it no longer makes.
  • A product left on on Glovo after the offer's hours brings in orders you have to reject.
  • Customers see the lunch offer in the evening, without knowing when they can order it.

With APPY

  • You set each product's schedule once, and today's daily menu appears on its own, at its time.
  • At the end time, the product is hidden or greyed out and can no longer be ordered online.
  • On Glovo, APPY checks the schedule every minute and switches back off a product turned on from the POS outside its hours.
  • A product shown greyed out displays its hours, so customers know when to come back.

Features

A schedule on every product

In the product form, under "Availability schedule", you add rules of days and hours, for example Monday–Friday 11:00–16:00. A product can have several rules and several time slots per day, such as Saturday 12:00–14:00 and 18:00–21:30, plus "Daily" and "All day". It works for products and combos.

Hidden, or greyed out with its hours

With "Hide the product outside the schedule" ticked, the product does not show outside its hours. Unticked, it shows greyed out, with its hours written on it, for example "Available Monday, Wednesday 11:00–16:00", and it cannot be ordered online.

One schedule for many products

In the product list, you tick the products and, from "Modify Selection", give them all the same schedule, replacing the old one, or remove their schedule so they are always available.

Schedules on categories too

Categories have their own rules of days and hours. With "Hide the category outside its schedule", a category does not show at all outside its hours, instead of showing with its products greyed out. A product with its own schedule in a category with a schedule is available only when both are open.

In the POS, with a confirmation

Staff see the product greyed out outside its hours, or not at all if it is hidden. When they tap a greyed-out product, the POS asks for a confirmation, so you can still add it when you need to.

On Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food

The schedule goes out with the exported menu. Wolt receives the weekly availability, Bolt Food hides the product outside its hours, and on Glovo, which has no per-product schedule, APPY switches the product on and off by itself, checking every minute.

How it works

1

Open the product in the Admin

In the product form, on the "Type & Visibility" tab, you find the "Availability schedule" section. For several products at once, tick them in the list and press "Modify Selection".

2

Add the days and hours

Press "Add rule", tick the days or "Daily" and enter the hours, for example 11:00–16:00. For another time slot on the same days, press "Add hours".

3

Choose what shows outside the schedule

Tick "Hide the product outside the schedule" so the product does not show, or leave it unticked so it shows greyed out, with its hours.

4

Save and publish

Once published, the schedule reaches the store, the kiosk, the QR menu and the POS, and with the menu export, Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food. From then on, the product switches on and off by itself.
